Terms and Conditions

Article 1 Definitions

1.1 Foundation’s website is an internet service operated to provide information on the foundation’s businesses.
1.2 ”User” refers to the individual who agrees to use the foundation’s website in compliance with this agreement.
1.3 “Member” refers to the user who provides the required personal information when registering for membership for the foundation’s website.
1.4 “Email address” refers to the member’s personal email used when registering for membership for the foundation’s website, and is used to identify that the user is a member.
1.5 “Password” refers to the series of letters and numbers used to protect their online privacy and is used to make sure the combination matches the one that was set when registering to access member-only services on the foundation’s website.

Article 2 Validity and Changes to the Agreement

2.1 This agreement becomes valid upon being posted on the foundation’s website.
2.2 Member-only services are offered to its members who have agreed to accept the website’s Terms and Conditions. When registering as a member of the foundation’s website, it is recommended to accept the Terms and Conditions.
2.3 Changes may be made to the agreement and will become valid as stated in Article 2.1.
2.4 Users may cancel their usage if they decide to not accept the revised terms. However if the user wishes to continue using the services, it is recommended to accept the revised terms.

Article 3 Foundation’s Obligations

3.1 Foundation may not distribute any personal information without the user’s consent.
3.2 Foundation does not carry out any acts that are contrary to this agreement, other related laws, and public order and morals.
3.3 Foundation must try its best to protect its users’ information (e.g., by installing technical safeguards).
3.4 Foundation will not send out unwanted advertisements and solicitations via email to its users.

Article 4 Obligations of Users

4.1 Users must abide by the Terms and Conditions and related legal regulations.
4.2 Users must not do the following:
(a) Purposely providing false information when registering for membership or when editing existing personal information
(b) Stealing and/or illegally using another person’s email address, password, or personal information
(c) Editing or deleting either a portion or all of the contents that have been posted on the foundation’s website
(d) Purposely harming or interfering the foundation’s duties by doing things like hacking the server
(e) Infringing the foundation’s or a third party’s copyright or intellectual property rights
(f) Damaging the honor of or interfering with the duties of the foundation or a third party
(g) Using the service for the purpose of pursuing profits
(h) Displaying or posting obscene or violent text, videos, audio, or other materials that go against public order and morals
(i) Planning or pursuing the use of services for inhibiting public and/or social interests
(j) Posting contents that are related to criminal activities
(k) Other actions that violate the Terms and Conditions or other relevant laws

Article 5 Membership Registrations

5.1 Users interested in becoming a member can register by accepting the Terms and Conditions and providing the personal information requested by the foundation through filling out the application.
5.2 Membership applications will not be accepted in the following cases:
(a) Used another person’s name when registering for membership
(b) Providing false information when filling out the application

Article 6 Withdrawal and Disqualification of Membership

6.1 Foundation’s website membership withdrawal can be requested at any time. Members must log into the foundation’s website and apply to for membership withdrawal (under “edit information”) via online
6.2 Foundation may limit, suspend, or cancel users’ membership without prior notice for the following reasons:
(a) Purposely providing false information when registering for membership or when editing existing personal information
(b) Using various emails to register for multiple accounts (same person)
(c) Stealing and/or illegally using another person’s email address or password
(d) Editing or deleting the contents that have been posted on the foundation’s website
(e) Purposely harming or interfering the foundation’s duties by doing things like hacking the server
(f) Infringing the foundation’s or a third party’s copyrights or intellectual property rights
(g) Damaging the honor of or interfering with the duties of the foundation or a third party
(h) Using the service for the purpose of pursuing profits
(i) Displaying or posting obscene or violent text, videos, audio, or other materials that go against public order and morals
(j) Planning or pursuing the use of services for inhibiting public and/or social interests
(k) Posting contents that are related to criminal activities
(l) Other actions that violate the Terms and Conditions or other relevant laws

Article 7 Obligations of User’s Email & Password

7.1 Responsibility of managing the email and password (login information) belongs to the user.
7.2 Members are not allowed to let a third party borrow their foundation account (email and password).
7.3 If a member uses their account inappropriately, the foundation must be notified and if disciplinary guidance is given, members must comply.

Article 8 Protection of Personal Information

8.1 Foundation collects minimal amount of personal information needed to deliver services.
8.2 Consent to gather identifying personal information is required from the user
8.3 Personal information that the user has given is strictly provided in compliance with this agreement and will be utilized as followed:
(a) Statistical analysis for service improvement and complements
(b) Good communication between to the foundation and its users
8.4 Personal information provided will not be used for other purposes or given to a third party without the user’s consent and the foundation is fully responsible. However, the following scenarios are exceptions:
(a) When information is provided anonymously for the purpose of statistical analysis, academic research, or market research.
(b) Unavoidable due to it being required the law (e.g., criminal investigation)

Article 9 User’s Posts

9.1 User’s may only publish contents onto the foundation’s website that are allowed to be distributed and do not violate the copyright or intellectual property rights.
9.2 Users are granted nonexclusive rights to access the information posted on the foundation’s website. Foundation allows its users to use, reproduce, publish, and translate the contents published on its website and distribute it to the rest of the world in the following forms: original form (way it was posted on the website), revised form that was developed during the future copyright duration (in any form, media, or technology), in whole or in part, and incorporated versions that includes other works. In addition, users are allowed to access, save, and duplicate posts published by other users. Also, in condition to permitting these acts, the copyright holder reserves all rights.
9.3 For user’s are responsible for infringement of copyright or intellectual property rights and other damages, foundation is not obligated to compensate for the damages.
9.4 If the foundation believes the following are included in the content posted on its website, the post may be deleted without notice:
(a) Advertising, slander, inappropriate content (e.g., defamation)
(b) Materials that infringe copyright and other rights of a third party
(c) Contents that violate the law or regulations set forth by the foundation

Article 10 Copyright Attribution

10.1 Copyright and other intellectual property rights in any of the posts on the foundation’s website belong to the foundation.
10.2 Users are not allowed to replicate, publish, redistribute, or broadcast posts published on the foundation’s website for the purpose of pursing profit without prior consent. However, it is an exception when the original user that published the post uses it for personal or educational purposes.

Article 11 Disclaimers

11.1 In case of the foundation not being able to repair, replace, conduct periodic inspections, or construct telecommunications equipment for uncontrollable factors interfered or the service provider did not provide proper services, the foundation is not responsible.
11.2 Foundation is not responsible for any damages caused by using the foundation’s website. Foundation is able to frequently edit or revise its website’s contents and functions.
11.3 Foundation will not be responsible for any loss or damages caused by using the website when the user is at fault.
11.4 Foundation is not obligated to intervene in disputes between users or between users and mutual third parties, and is not obligated to compensate the damages caused by the disputes.

Article 12 Links to Other Website

12.1 Foundation is not at all responsible for issues related to the privacy and protection of personal information of the other sites that are linked on the foundation’s website.

Article 13 Miscellaneous

13.1 Matters not mentioned in the Terms and Conditions will follow the Republic of Korea’s laws.
13.2 If lawsuits are filed over disputes related to service usage, a court that includes the foundation within its jurisdiction will act as a competent court.

This agreement has been in effect since April 10, 2015.
